Community Groups
Little Angels
Little Angels is a small toddler group that meets in St Sebastian’s Church Hall fortnightly during school term time, with the aim to support and nurture each other along the journey. It is as much for the carers as for the children. Our group is suitable for all children aged 0-5.
Join us for play, singing and story time. Highlights of the sessions are healthy snacks for the children and coffee with homemade cakes for the grown ups.
To keep up to date with the dates and session information, please join the private facebook page for Little Angels.

Youth
Did you know that our Youth Leaders run a fortnightly Friday Youth Club at St Sebastian’s? It’s a friendly place where teenagers meet to socialise, explore basic bible truths, with food and plenty of fun for all.
We communicate the love of Christ in a way that is relevant through the range of activities offered. Maybe, one or more teenagers in your home (or who you know of) are interested in visiting one of our events. If so, please consult the Parish Calendar for next available date.
All events are appropriately supervised and work within Church of England Safeguarding rules.

Sandwich Men
Men don’t talk to one another personally – except perhaps sport and cars”!
It is true! The ladies chat and socialise at the drop of a hat.
But men, particularly in retirement, lose focus and just find it difficult to make the effort.
This applies particularly as we get older and maybe lose old pals!
Sandwich Men is the simple answer!
We are a group of men who meet once a month in the Parish Centre over lunchtime 12 till 1. So, while we eat, we talk and share – life experiences, ups and downs, hopes for the future. Everything shared is in confidence.
We are meeting just to simply listen, offer friendship and support one another.
If you would like to join us do come along on the last Thursday of each month.
You will be most welcome!
For further information please contact Ian Mackenzie via the Parish Office on 01344 761 050.

Mission Links
Have you ever thought why it is that the Word of God in the Bible talks so much about the poor and the disadvantaged? There are so many references, during Jesus’ ministry, of times when he called Christians to show love and practical concern for the poor, the excluded and those in need.
As a Parish, we are committed to making donations to mission, as Jesus instructed his followers: “Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do”, 15th chapter of Deuteronomy. We share Mission funds between campaigns in the United Kingdom and overseas. Additionally, specific collections are occasionally made for particular charitable causes.
We support a number of smaller organisations, all of which have some personal contact with St Sebastian’s Church. We try to ensure that there are links with the charities we support so that we can receive feedback and understand the difference that our giving makes to the people we support.
Other larger charities are supported by the Parish:
Foodbank, Tearfund, Toybox, Open Doors, The Children’s Society, Royal British Legion, Mityana Charity, Yeldall Manor, Open Doors Charity, Univida – Brazil, LIV Village and Bulembu Ministries
